Meet Our Staff...

The staff of Freedom Christian School have varied backgrounds and church experiences. However, the two common denominators for all staff members are their passionate devotion to Jesus Christ and their determination to enable all of their students to reach their God-given potential. This strength of purpose and vision create an atmosphere of unity and love for the FCS community.
  • ADMINISTRATORS...
         Mrs. Annette Coller
    After completing her bachelor's degree in Education from Iowa State University summa cum laude, Mrs. Coller acquired her master's degree in Educational Leadership with distinction from National University. Her teaching career began in the public school classrooms in Iowa. While homeschooling her own children for several years, Mrs. Coller was employed as the National Director of Children's Ministries for her church denomination. After moving to California, Mrs. Coller directed a homeschool program at Freedom for five years. In 1997, Mrs. Coller became administrator of Freedom Christian School.  In collaboration with a dynamic, experienced faculty, Mrs. Coller has overseen the full accreditation of the school, the integration of technology preparing students with 21st century skills and the enrichment of the spiritual, academic and social accomplishments of FCS students.

        Mrs. Christy Jones- Principal

    Mrs. Jones has been teaching at Freedom Christian School for over twenty years. She earned her Early Childhood Education degree and her Masters of Arts degree in Teaching, Magna Cum Laude from National University with a specialization in Special Education. In addition to her responsibilities as principal, Mrs. Jones supervises the Exceptionalities program that insures all FCS students have a positive learning environment regardless of their learning style or ability level.

     

     

    ELEMENTARY...

      Mrs. Elizabeth Coller- Kindergarten

    Mrs. Coller has been working at Freedom and in K-6 classrooms for nearly ten years. Her passion for education and love for children is evident in her classroom and on her popular YouTube channel and blog, "The Kinderhearted Classroom." She is a LakeShore Learning Ambassador and has partnered with educational companies like Class Dojo, We Are Teachers, ESGI, SDE, and Harper Collins. She has worked as a curriculum developer for the website TeachersPayTeachers.com since 2016 and has written over 150 units of study for Kindergarten through second grade students including a 36-week Bible Curriculum that has been featured on the Teachers Pay Teachers top seller list. Mrs. Coller has earned her B.A. in early childhood education from National University and became Google Certified in 2016. She has a passion for learning and works to stay updated on best practices. She loves using STEM and project based activities in her classroom and works to help her students fall in love with learning.

        Mrs. Kristela Ball- 1st/2nd

    While attending the University of California, Davis, Mrs. Ball worked with children on the Autism Spectrum. That pursuit birthed her passion for incorporating individualized teaching strategies to enable them to reach their full potential. Mrs. Ball became a full-time teacher at Freedom Christian School in 2011. Aside from earning her B.A. from UC Davis, she has taken additional courses in education from National University. She also has a passion from women's and children's ministry and serving at her local church.

         Mr. Scott Moore- 3rd/4th- Athletic Director

    Growing up as the son of missionaries in Guinea, West Africa, Mr. Moore became fluent in French while attending a private French school. During his junior year in high school, Mr. Moore returned to the States with his family. After graduating from Freedom Christian School, he earned his Bachelor of Arts from Sacramento State University. Mr. Moore taught at Freedom for 15 years before accepting the position of Student Activities Director. He supervises activities that enhance the spiritual, social and physical development of FCS students. Some of these activities include chapels, Sign Language Team, Worship Team, Drama Team, and athletics. During the summer, Mr. Moore administers the Summer S3 Day Camp program. He is passionate about students developing a strong personal relationship with Jesus and works with them as they use the gifts that God has given them to impact their school and community.



    MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL...


        Zach Stilwell-
    5th/6th

    At William Jessup University, Mr. Stilwell earned a degree in Business Management and Bible and Theology. During his college years, he began working with Youth for Christ at Eich T. Middle School in Roseville in 2015. This led to Mr. Stilwell teaching and coaching at Heritage Christian and Capital Christian before becoming a part of the Freedom Christian School family. Mr. Stilwell is passionate about helping students maximize their potential and live a life devoted to friendship with Jesus.

        Daniel Arroyo- TBA
    Mr. Arroyo graduated from Liberty University earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Bible and Religion with honors. He is currently in the process of earning a Masters of Divinity at Western Seminary in Sacramento, CA. Mr. Arroyo has always had a passion for teaching. After graduating from high school, Mr. Arroyo became highly involved with his local student ministry as a Bible study teacher. In addition, he has tutored and taught mathematics in private Christian schools and charter schools that serve low-income families. Mr. Arroyo's greatest aspiration as an educator is to see his students learn to reason and to appreciate the greatness of God.
       

       Mr. Kamaldip Kang- 7th-12th

    After completing his Fine Arts degree at the University of California, Sacramento, and his credential work at National University, Mr. Kang began teaching at Freedom Christian School in 1993. Since then, he has also tutored a variety of students on and off the campus, including teaching SAT test prep courses for KAPLAN as well as teaching English to college students from overseas. Occasionally, he teaches an English evening course for a local Bible college. He is an accomplished teacher of English - including literature, grammar and vocabulary - as well as Spanish and art. Mention a literary work, and Mr. Kang is ready to discuss its theme, tone, archetypes, motifs, tropes... However, Mr. Kang's passion for his coursework is only superseded by his willingness to do whatever it takes to enable his students to succeed.


        Mrs. Anne McCutcheon- 7th-12th

    Mrs. McCutcheon earned her bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Spanish as well as her teaching credential from California State University, Sacramento. While she began her teaching career in the public school system, she has taught at Freedom Christian School since 2002. Her love of learning and enthusiasm for her subject areas have encouraged students to excel in coursework when many did not feel they could achieve success. When she is not teaching, Mrs. McCutcheon is a leader in her local church - and a winning girls' basketball coach (leading FCS girls to two League Championships and four playoff berths).

    Mrs. Christi Moore- 7th-12th

    Mrs. Moore began working at Freedom in 2002 as the Extended Day Care Supervisor and loved working with the children of FCS so much that she changed her major from Nursing to Education. Since completing her degree in Education at Sacramento State University, Mrs. Moore has taught in the elementary, middle school, and high school. She is passionate about science and loves using hands-on activities and STEM projects in her classroom. She directs Freedom's annual Science Fair and oversees the Science Fair work of all participating 3rd-12th grade students. Mrs. Moore is a Google Certified Educator and has enjoyed incorporating Freedom's 1:1 environment in her classroom.





    OFFICE...
         Mr. Jeriah Coller

    After graduating from Freedom Christian School, Mr. Coller continued his education at the University of California, Sacramento, receiving a Religious Studies degree. Concurrently, he completed a five year degree in Christian Leadership and Religious Studies at the Institute of Theological Studies by Extension (INSTE). While serving as the Executive Pastor at LifePoints, Mr. Coller serves as a part-time teacher and IT Director for FCS. Having worked for several technology companies, Mr. Coller is a true "geek." He enjoys educating students about technology - how to use it to succeed in their personal lives as well as to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
